FANFIC: You are the Ocean & I’m Good at Drowning

LIFE UNEXPECTED

Summary: May 2016; Twin Cities, MN: The week before her college graduation, Lux and Eric finally cross paths again, thanks to a new novel by a familiar author. Part 4 of my multi-fandom series, “Somewhere in this Wide World.”

Disclaimer: I do not own Life Unexpected or its characters.  I do not own Gilmore Girls either.  The title is the name of a great Phantogram song, also not mine.

A/N: This is the fourth part of a multi-fandom series I’m working on called “Somewhere in This Wide World.”  It charts the interlocking lives of 5 couples from 5 different shows over the course of 20 years.  They are all “aftermath” stories that take place in the future, beyond the original time period of each respective show.  You can read more of the series on my Fanfic page.  The parts are meant to work individually as standalone stories but also work together as a continuous series.  (Yes, I skipped part 3, but I’ll get back to it.)  This part has a minor crossover with Gilmore Girls, continued from part 2, that shouldn’t affect your understanding of the story if you are not familiar with the show.

Where the show left off: Lux graduates from Westmonte in 2012 and heads to the University of Oregon with Tasha and Jones.  Eric is last seen in the present storyline when Baze and Cate ask him to leave town immediately and threaten to call the police if he ever contacts Lux again.  The last episode aired January 2011.

ARCHIVE UPDATE: A Series of Fortunate Events

This process really is going so much more quickly than I thought! Why didn’t I do this sooner!

The Wallpapers > Movies page has been brought up to date as of now. I might find some odds and ends laying around later and I’ll add them if I do, but those are basically it. I also added some random new TV ones, but in general I’m still working on that section as most of my wallpapers fall in that category.

Also, I’ve added two one-shot fanfics, one for Jack & Jill and one for Gilmore Girls.

A/N: This is the second part of a multi-fandom series I’m working on called “Somewhere in This Wide World.”  It charts the interlocking lives of 5 couples from 5 different shows over the course of 20 years.  They are all “aftermath” stories that take place in the future, beyond the original time period of each respective show.  You can read more of the series on my Fanfic page.  The parts are meant to work individually as standalone stories but also work together as a continuous series.  This part has minor references to Gossip Girl and Jack & Jill.  If you aren’t familiar with the shows, you won’t even notice.

ARCHIVE UPDATE: A Few of My Favorite Things

I’m happy to announce that the Favorites page (see menu above) is now completely up-to-date!  All links should be working, and I have added all the wallpapers on that page onto their respective category pages as well (ex. Wallpapers > TV Shows > Other).  From here on out, I’m going to work on one page at a time, probably the easiest ones first. This process is tedious and tiring, but it’s actually been going a lot more quickly than I expected so far.  WordPress has really been making everything much easier than it used to be with my old website.

This weekend I hope to also start posting chapters of current fanfics.

To New Beginnings

Once upon a time (2002-2006), I ran a website called Patterns in the Ice where I posted my art and writing, both original and fan-inspired, as well as journal entries.  About 5 years ago, I deleted the whole thing, always intending to find an alternate means of archiving my fanart and fanfiction.  For a while, I was posting them on LiveJournal, but that too was eventually deleted.  Last year, I figured I would be acquiring my own web domain, but now I doubt I’ll be paying for that, so I think I have found the best solution.  My portfolio of original art is called Giant Pinwheel, so I felt that Giant Fan would be an appropriate name for fan-related endeavors.  Please be patient with me as I slowly upload all of my old work.  I hope you will enjoy!
